All you need to know about Apple App Storeās Privacy Changes
Thereās no secret at all that mobile apps gather all sorts of information about you as you use themāand thatās not going to change. What changes is how information is shared with third parties, like data brokers and other tech companies. And the way they do the tracking is via a unique identifier.
Apple has IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers), Google has GAID (Google Advertising ID), Huawei has OAID (open advertising Identifier), and so on.
Starting with iOS 14.5, the new opt-in model will kick in, and apps will need to get the usersā consent to share peopleās data with third parties.

I likā¬ you, I foĀ£Ā£ow you, I $upport you
One of the things I did and turned out to be a great learning practice is to look back at the predicted trends for the year. So, I usually have a couple of bookmarks with articles about marketing trends, social media trends, community trends for the ongoing year. I save those, usually, in January, and then I go and revise them against facts. One interesting topic is content creators rewards. We live in this in which creators are rewarded by their fans (not brands) for the content they create - hereās what Instagram is doing on this front, how Facebook is helping content creators to diversify revenue or Clubhouseās Creator First programme.
#SocialThrowback2020: Global Campaigns that reinvented creativity in an uncharted year
There are things that not even a pandemic could stop them from happening. I came across these global campaigns, which proved theyāre unstoppable. I love š privacy one.
The top trend you want to be on is Trust.
TL;DR:
Customers trust and connect with the brand -> becomes more open to volunteering their data in exchange for an improved brand experience.
Brands that provide users with real value will entice them to help drive richer data, leading to relevant, individualized experiences.
So, while consumers demand personalized experiences, this also comes hand-in-hand with their expectation that brands need to respect their preferences and use data for good. Win-Win.
The only true challenge here is gaining customerās trust.
š± Harness your skills
When starting a career in digital marketing
Mark my words:
In digital marketing, to do your work, youāll always need something from someone.
Being able to ask for help, having great communication skills, and building strong relationships will pay you well. I found this useful article on how to get things done in digital marketing. Enjoy it! š
*If youāre not the collaborative type, reconsider your career.
š” Ask yourself
Questions to make you think, instead of useless advice
If youāre a content creator or a content approval, do yourself a favour and check your last 10 social media posts (in particular) by answering that question. Afterwards, choose one of that content and ask your colleagues or friends the same question.
